You are meant to inform the CSA if you move overseas. I guess they will argue that you made the error. Good luck getting money back from an organisation set up to rob men blind.

Exact wording when ex went back about costs order

“adjourned generally with liberty to restore and shall be struck out if not restored by August 2019”

So I ignored an order to pay part of my ex’s fees for hearings related to the children back in 2015. Her solicitors chased me in 2015 and I informed them that I did not have the means to pay them. My ex then raised with court last summer only for judge to “adjourn”

So some orders for costs can be ignored, others will see county court bailiffs at your door. It is a gamble but don’t just let the legal profession intimidate you into paying their extortionate fees if you can avoid it.

I was ordered to pay something similar to my ex to help meet her legal bills. 4 years on and I still have not paid and her law firm after a couple of emails gave up. Last summer she submitted an application for a non molestation order and tacked on the unpaid legal bill and the judge pretty much well struck it off. She had left it too long and would have to had chased me through small claims court as the family courts seem powerless to enforce orders for costs.

Dont be bullied. If they send baliffs then you pay. Otherwise just dodge them.

Magistrates Court is a whole different experience. In effect 3 lay people who are more prone to side with the police than Judges or a jury. Police use this to the full advantage and lie through their teeth. You need professional legal help to counter police lies in criminal cases, not just good enough to rely on website advice. The Crown Prosecution Service spend weeks fabricating lies in order to get a false conviction once they bring a case to trial.

They are hopeless. They cannot get their heads around family law and stick to a rigid and flawed framework.

Not fit for purpose. Poorly staffed so of course nobody reviews your case.

Go limited company and self employed. The idiots cannot handle someone who does not take payment in salary.

It is not a criminal offence but Family Court Judges do have the power to imprison or issue community sentences.

It is all part of the weird and wonderful family law. You can be detained and denied liberty without a fair trial. No jury. No access to the public or press reporting. No need to prove beyond reasonable doubt. No factual evidence.

I hope the OP’s son gets a conviction against the ex. The police normally shrug their shoulders when you report a mother for violent assaults. CAFCASS avoid all discussion of female violence yet believe every counter allegation. You need to be battered and close to death for anyone to intervene on your behalf as a man.

If you pay solicitors then you are fuelling the industry that profits from making children fatherless. Put these parasites out of business once and for all. Make it so that law students make better life choices rather than seeking to gain from other peoples misery.

They really are strapped! I had a period where 4 different women were assigned to my case and each left the organisation. Their turnover rate is stupidly high. I think even your average homeless woman could apply for the job at 40k+ a year and they would take her right now (obviously the guy would be weeded out pre interview).

See the no show as a positive. The judge might actually make a fair ruling now if CAFCASS are not there wanting to screw the children up for life.

Yes she can. Either of you can up until a court rules who the children live with. At least you have had warning. Many fathers here get no warning. The mother just steals the children without giving any indication as to her plans. If you go to the police after the event they will run checks on where the children are and then on determining that the children are safe will tell you, you are on your own and that they cannot tell you where the children are.

Anything you do now to stop her will see the situation escalate. If you take legal action yourself to get an order to say children to remain in family home she will most likely snatch them in the days before you go to court. If you tell her “no” she will snatch them.

You need a close friend of hers who you both trust to reason with her and tell her the children are best left at home. You need an orderly exit from the marriage. Do not bring the legal profession in as they will fuck the children over in an attempt to secure a better property settlement for your ex.

The next year is going to be ugly unless you can pull a minor miracle and save the marriage. I am a father who has not seen his kids in 9 years. Once the legal profession get involved you all get dragged to hell.

CAFCASS are at the root of most fathers problems. If we got a fair assessment with no gender bias then when it goes to court both parents would be treated equally. It nearly always happens that the CAFCASS institutionalised gender bias and need to cover their arses against any father who could go nuts means they write a report heavily biased in the mothers favour. In my case the judge tried twice to rule against the CAFCASS report and had my exes barrister pointed out that it was unheard of for a judge to twice go against CAFCASS recommendations.

It needs mass protests to highlight the gender inequality this government agency are creating. Peaceful protests outside everyone of their offices. Anything to get questions asked in Parliament and to get an outside body in to scrutinise their training and procedures. It needs a serious journalist to go undercover and expose the hatred at the core of this organisation. They hate divorced men.

Commonwealth my arse. If she is resident in Canada and it is the Canadian authorities chasing you then tell them as they revoked your Canadian passport that they can go+__)= themselves. You are now a UK resident paying taxes in the UK? They have no jurisdiction. Inform them that your earnings in Canada are $0. They do not need to know anything else. Bullshit threats and scare tactics. The UK child support pull the same stunts. They do stuff like hide their own costs. When you ask them for a break down of what they are taking from you they just say “arrears” when actually they also bundle in additional costs for chasing you. In the private sector not declaring additional charges and explaining them would see the Financial standards agency fine the hell out of a corporation.

They have you on bail and no charges!!!!! 3-4 Months maximum normally. Pressure them. Get on their case. I have had a phone taken when I was arrested for a public order offence. Mention interference with property and that you want damages for loss of earnings because the computer equipment is used for work.

9 years in here and no DV. Just refused supervised contact as I said there was no reason to treat me as a threat and diminish my rights. CAFCASS did not like the idea that I did not just role over and accept that as a man I must take a lesser role and be compliant.

It happens to the best of us. Unless you surrender and say you are a beastly man then cafcass say you are unrepentant and still a risk. Like the old ducking stool. They drown you or pronounce you a witch. Either way they get what they want, cover their arse and stay safe in their 40k+ jobs whilst writing shoddy reports from home whilst posting on mumsnet feminist activism.

Sounds like an empty threat. As long as you are not employed by a Canadian firm I think they will find they have no juridiction in UK. Your childs mother will need to start a claim in the UK.

Relax. Child support agencies try every scare tactic under the sun and threats where really they have no way of following up.
