Fathers 4 Justice Hunger Striker to meet Leader of the House of Commons Before Protest

A hunger striking father from Hampshire will meet the leader of the House of Common’s, Sir George Young, to discuss the hunger strike and deliver a list of requests to the Prime Minister the day before his protest begins.

44-year-old father of three, Matt O’Connor from Andover, Hampshire, will begin the first ever hunger strike for fathers’ rights on Sunday 10th July 2011 on the 10th anniversary of Fathers 4 Justice, outside the Witney home of Prime Minister David Cameron.

He will deliver a personal letter to David Cameron’s home in Dean, near Witney at 9.00am on Sunday 10th July before attending the morning service at St Mary’s Church, Witney.

He will then return before holding a candle lit vigil outside Mr Cameron’s home that evening. O’Connor and his supporters will wear black suits and black ties throughout the day.

O’Connor’s support van will be turned into a shrine for the children who have lost their fathers during the last 10 years with thousands of photographs stuck to the vans exterior. Personal letters from fathers, mothers and grandparents will also be delivered to Mr Cameron’s house every morning of the hunger strike.
